I love gummy candies! They are so fun to chew. Every time I eat them, I immediately brought back to my childhood.

And I also love Valemtine’s Day. It is such a fun holiday where everything is centered around love with pink and red decorations! So cute!

So then I had the idea to try and make heart gummies that are not only cute, but delicious. And you know what? It worked! These are delightfully chewy and are packed with that delicious flavor that I adore so much.

I’ll take you through every step of making your own. I’ll show you what ingredients you need, and even share some fun ways to give them as Valentine gifts.

Of course, you might just make them up for yourself!

What is Collagen Gelatin?

There are 2 different things you can use to make gummies – grass fed gelatin or gelatin collagen Hydrolysate. Both are excellent for this recipe, you can use either one. But I really like how the collagen gelatin reacts and tastes.

Collagen is the protein that forms connective fibers in tissues. And this powder is excellent for tendons, ligaments, and joints.

Collagen Gummies

For this healthy gummy bear recipe, I chose to use Beef Gelatin Collagen from pasture raised grass fed cows.

My daughter was recently hurt and had stitches on her head. I have been trying to get her to take the collagen gelatin for weeks and she kept being able to taste it in her milk.

Collagen is said to help promote the proper healing of scars. That is why I am so keen on getting my daughter to eat it. I started doing research and found that you can make collagen gummies that makes use of the gelatin in collagen.

Now, my daughter is taking the perfect amount of collagen daily to help promote healing her head. I sweetened the gummy bears with just enough maple syrup that they are delicious and are a treat for her!

Since I perfected the collagen gummies recipe, she has been asking for me to make them every day. Also, she loves helping me fill the heart trays.

Valentine’s Day Charity Event

This is the third year for our Valentine’s event! We want to make a difference in the fight against pediatric cancer!

Did you know that cancer is the #1 cause of death of children by disease in the U.S.? There are 40,000 U.S. children actively battling cancer right now. With less than 4% of the National Cancer Institute’s budget going to all childhood cancer combined, I knew it was important for me to get involved.
