Hey all!
I wanted to know if anyone know if there is a way to manage your planets. When you first start a campaign you oftern do not have the luxury to choose your first few and end up with lets say low max pop Ei 10-13 population. By mid game i would love to delete/remove some of my old planets and colonize better ones as my ''Core'' . I know some of you will think'' Why dont you just add them to a Sector'? Well in some cases that is possible, but most of the time your ''Core'' is surrounded by your sectors or the placement of them does not allow you to do this. I would be eternaly gratefull if anyone knows how to do this and if its not possible this would be VERY good addition to be able to manage planets.

You have to spend your influence to rebuild the sectors. Meaning remove systems from the sector and reorganize.

What happens if you purge or resettle every pop from a planet, does it stop being a colonized world? Other than that, I'm not sure what you can do. You're basically saying that you as the leader want to take a planet, that is home to millions of your citizens, and make it no longer have anybody living on it. From a realism perspective, forced resettlement would be the way to go. But as I said I don't know if that makes it stop being a controlled planet.

He doesnt want to remove it from a sector, he wants to remove the colony.

Yeah, a colony will cease to exist if there are no POPs left. Unfortunetly there is no "easy" way to achieve it. You can only purge all POPs (good luck with that as non-conformist), resettle everyone (bye bye individualists) or bomb it to hell.
I rly miss a feature to give up a colony.

Yes that is exactly what i would love to have, even if i would have to build the new colony, resettle everyone off of it and then be able to disband the planet or ''abandon'' it.

This is what I need! I colonised a new planet, went over my maximum planets by mistake. The population are unhappy as I thought I could starve them to death. Think I'm going to have to give them independance then destroy them if that will even work.
*EDIT*
Did not work, now I need to wait 10 years and they took several star systems critical to my empire as their new empire gaining power of all the buildings there. URGH! Why can't we just "Destroy colony" and have some negative impacts for doing so

You can decolonize through purging. The purging would be the negative impact for doing so.

Can't purge due to governing ethics which don't change. Thought if I mass produce colony ships with collectivists I would change majority pop and change ethics but no
